Stephanie Cocagne, LCPC
Hello, I am the owner of Clear Mind, Open Heart PLLC. My career began in 1998 as an advocate and counselor for survivors of domestic violence and their children. After 16 years, I made the switch to mental health counseling. In early 2018, I opened Clear Mind, Open Heart with the goal of providing high-quality, private, professional counseling.
My clinical experience includes counseling people ages 12 and older using individual and family counseling. I utilize standard Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for most conditions. This means that we will work together to identify the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions in a given situation. My goal is to help you learn how to be your own counselor and use the skills from our sessions in your daily life.
I believe that the key to effective counseling is a trusting relationship that takes time to develop. You are the expert when it comes to your life, and I value your experience and thoughts about what will work for you. Counseling is an active process, and you will be asked to implement strategies on your own, so we can determine what helps you move toward your goals.
